This is NOT Goodbye :)
And yet another chapter in my life ended today. One that i consider the most beautiful and memorable of my life so far. To my classmates, lecturers and coursemates, thank you so much for being part of my life and making a big impact through a friendship that i will cherish forever.
It seems like yesterday when i arrive at the foyer of the School of Business in Singapore Polytechnic for the orientation programme. It really is amazing how time flies so darn fast. Honestly, little can be remembered about the lectures or lessons learnt, but i remember every single moment that i spent with my friends there. The clementi pool/bowling/cheap movies/$2 arcade breaks that we took in year one, the chalets we had crazy fun at, the jokes we came up with as a class, the late nights and hard work we put in for our projects, just so many more to list. And yes, i remember every single one of those moments. Crystal Clear.
Today was an extremely hard day to pass because of the lingering thought that ever second that ticked by was a second closer to leaving the school as a student of DMC. The last lecture, the last project submission, the last CA, last cohort gathering dinner. It just felt so surreal.
We now head out to our internship companies, i know things will change, but i really hope that our friendship will remain. Its funny how we look at pictures and see a big change in ourselves. We now travel in carpools when we used to clamour for cabs just a while back. Who knows? In a few years time, some of us will be rich and successful, some away in foreign land. Will we ever look back and realise that it was because of this time and the experiences that we shared together as a team that really moulded us into who and what we are?
I sure do hope so.
Guys, i love you. i really do. I may seem like the crazy idoit of the class, but i really am a sentimental guy and you guys means the world to me. It has been a pleasure working and learning with you guys.
Dont forget the roots.
Anyway, i did something that i am extremely proud of, though it might have probably been the stupidest thing i have ever done during a test.
Here's the dialogue between myself and two female lecturers during a mock interview CA.
Lecturer : So tell me a strength and a weakness that you have.
Dong : My strengths is that i am extremely driven to excel in whatever i believe in, and my weaknesses are pretty ladies like yourselves!!!
PICTURES UP SOON!!!
