BOOM! TAKE ME AS I AM!!!

an evening with dream theatre. as i expected, the gig would bore me. but why am i there if i am not a fan u might ask? well, DT is the kinda of band where u just HAVE to see them. gig was scheduled for 8 pm, but i guess due to late strollers it was pushed till 9 pm. lasted for 3 hrs till midnight. i cant understand where they get the energy to play for that long. though this is the first gig that i went to that has a 15 min intermission. hahaha.

on to the band. DT, the most technicality amazing band i have ever seen. totally impressive musicians with such high level of virtousity that makes me wanna quit music cos i ll probably never touch they skill level. the drummer mike portnoy impressed me the most. never missing a beat despite his antics while drumming. throwing sticks, catching stickings, spinning sticks, hitting his head and so on so forth. totally amazing. i tried hard spotting mistakes and all i could spot were a couple of vocal run-offs and only 1 NON-Tight moment in the whole show! totally amazing.

however, of the whole setlist, i only knew like 3 songs? to my disappointment, they didnt do erotomania nor did they do any cover songs...... i really came to see them do some maiden or metallica. but no.... they didnt do any.

and by arnd 11 i was kinda bored and even had a eye shut for about 5 mins during the intro of octavarium.

nonetheless, great great band.

and so on to the earlier part of the day. my grp for DVPA consisting of jessica, pewen, theresa, bob and alwyn shot the first few scenes of our short film. went to holland v to get fake blood from the novety stall but they didnt sell any. so we ended up buying red makeup and food colouring. shot some scenes at delifrance.

then went to my place to shoot the suicide scenes and also the jumping-off-the-ledge scenes. good fun i tell u. i had fun shooting the scenes.

and everyone, i MUST add that ALWYN is one fantastic actor. seriously, i bet that one day he'll be big in the TV industry. in fact, i hope he does since its been his dream. good luck brother!!!

just a short thing about today the 28th jan, we shot the remainer videos at alwyn's house. after the vid, bob, al and myself had a long brotherly talk about sex, fetishes, cleaning bed sheets, living together when we re a little older and also spent a lot of time farting arnd alwyn's air conditioned room. how fun. seriously, that was some crazy shit. and to add, even with all this craziness, im glad i have such good friends when i have problems and i can talk to them and know that my back is covered when im feeling the most vulnerable. thanks guys...
