Rock For Wayne

ok, so i ll talk a bit bout the gig.
hands down, it was probably the biggest show that i have ever played.
1.5k crowd?
and as i was talking to levan and sab, it's gonna be hard to top this show man!

it's somewhat surreal that by some wierd chain of events, i end up sharing the stage with some of the people that i looked up to when i first started playing in a band.
some of them even before i picked up the guitar!

it was in like sec 2 when my friends were talking bout electrico and their hot keyboardist, and bam! suddenly i end up on the same stage playing next to her.
and no, i never really thought she was that hot though i really do think she is incredibly down to earth and an extremely nice person along with desmond.

anyway, it really didnt feel like the venue was that packed when we were on stage, cos i cldnt see pass the barricades with all the smoke and lights shining down. so yea, if u thought i was smiling at you, u were wrong! i cldnt see a single person in the crowd!
but according to pictures and my friends, the place was packed all the way to the back with some people barely being able to see the stage from where they were!

kinda depressing thing was that during 2 songs the fucking microphone from my amp dropped out, so yea, probably no one pass the 2nd row cld hear me. plus it was during the RnR solo so i probably looked like a cock playing guitar with no sound coming out!

but what really made me ponder was that, even with the fun and music that was going on, i really wonder if even half the crowd there had wayne in their hearts that night.
i knew i did, cos every time i looked at his drum set, it still felt as if he was somewhere around and that he didn't ever leave.

when the video of his picture montage was playing, it even felt sane and normal for me to want to look for him to make fun of his little kiddie pictures.

Wayne Wayne, i'll miss you. Thank you so much for the friendship and inspiration.
