God's footsteps

i always hear the pastor saying,
"GOD will always be there with you through every moment of your life",
"there is nothing that you cant face without GOD"
and
"even in your darkest times, GOD planned it out for you because it is through those times that you become stronger".


there was this really dark time that i was esperiencing and one night as i was walking on the beach along, i saw GOD.
he came down and took my hand and walked me through every footstep of my entire life.
when i looked back at the happy times, i could always see 2 pairs of footsteps and GOD would tell me that he was always there with me through those happy times.
but however, whenever i was through darkness, all i could see were one set of footprints.

i kept wondering to myself, "why did he abandon me when i need him most in my times of sadness and lost.

i couldnt take it anymore and asked GOD.


He then replied,

"Those arent your footprints, they were mine. I was carrying you through those times my son"
