OVERDRIVE 2005
just came back frm NTU overdrive auditions with GAZSS. saw nisa there and also few kids from SP.
amazingly some guy came up to me and said that he recognised me from SpanishFly and he really liked what we did at sentosa.... im touched! he thought SF was auditioning for overdrive. heh.
anyway, we went with one guitar today and we did 18 and life and have a nice day for the audi. 18 and life was killer! but ahari kinda screwed have a nice day up. oh well....
the funny thing about this comp was that all 5 judges gave comments after the gig. kinda like SG idol. well, as expected they said have a nice day wasnt tight, and the bass overpowered my guitar. guess the judges were quite blown away by the technicality as one guy said he loved the impro solos over the 2 songs.they also said our 18 and life was the best cover they ever heard from a local band. all in all, i guess we wld have sealed a place at the finals if not for the fuck up in have a nice day. oh well, results will be out tmr. lets wait and see....
